Meet the Family

At Pegasus Sport Horses, our passion for horses runs deep and our commitment to their well-being is unwavering. Pegasus is more than just a business — it’s also our family’s home. Based in Cedar Fort, Utah, Kat Ricks and husband Jarom live on property with their three children Hannah, Hailey, and Brentley, as does the original property owner and matriarch — Kat’s mother, Jane.

Kathryn Richards-Ricks

Kat Richards-Ricks, a seasoned equestrian and dedicated barn owner, brings a wealth of experience and love for horses to Pegasus Sport Horses. Born and raised in the world of riding, Kat's equestrian journey began at a young age, forging a deep connection with the horses that would shape her life's path.

With decades of experience in horsemanship, training, and equine management, Kat has worked hard to cultivate a positive and nurturing environment at her barn. Her commitment to the well-being and development of both horses and riders is the cornerstone of our thriving equestrian family.

Founded by Kat with a vision to create a haven for equestrians of all levels, Pegasus Sport Horses is more than a barn — it's a community and a family. The brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities, combined with Kat and her team’s expertise, provide an ideal environment for both horse and rider to live, learn, and thrive. Partnered with friend and resident trainer Lani Homan-Taylor, Kat has helped Pegasus become a safe, comfortable, and beautiful home for all.
